Just Stand by Bebe and CeCe Winan with Donnie McClurkin

So this is one of my favorite Oprah shows right after 9/11 - Donnie McClurkin singing with CeCe and BeBe Winan ~ Just Stand http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgsMgCfDCf8 from his Love and Freedom album. I was wanting to add this to my playlist but I can't seem to find it on the Playlist.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I still do!

Today I am thankful.....6.1.09

Don't we all have so much to be thankful for today if we just look around we will see our blessings right in front of us.....Today I am thankful for/that...

1. My faith
2. My family
3. My dd and for being a mom- best job in the world and also the toughest some days
4. My friends
5. My home
6. Our pooch
7. Our good health - I saw this show last night about the lady with the giant legs - anyone see this? OMgoodness I dont know what inspires this courageous woman to get up everyday and go like she does but she does!
8. My business...I think...no seriously I have loved being in business for the past 14 years and am thankful I have been able to work, take care of Demi by myself for the most part and everything else that I am abe to do - could not do what I do if I didnt have the business and work from home. I am praying that something will happen soon so I can make some money - I am starting to worry a little about being able to provide food and the basic essentials for us but will remain faithful!
9. Transportation
10. Our town and the quaintness...

**that school is almost over - 2 more half days and we are done - woohoo!

How about you? What or who are you thankful for today?

Hope you had a great Monday!!

Bird Nest Recipe also called CrispyEaster Nests

So here is what I am baking for Demi's teacher today as per her request - I hope they turn out and are as good as I hear they are :-)

CRISPY EASTER NESTS

1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme (about 2 c.)
1/4 c. creamy peanut butter2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 (5 oz.) can chow mein noodles (about 3 c.)
1 c. chopped holiday plain M & M'sHoliday peanut chocolate M & M's - I am substituting the choc with BUTTERSCOTCH CHIPS!!

Combine marshmallow creme, peanut butter and butter; mix until blended. Add noodles and 1 cup holiday plain chopped M & M's; blend well. Drop by 1/3 cupfuls onto greased cookie sheets; shape with greased fingers to form nests. Let stand until firm. Dust bottom of nests with powdered sugar if desired. Fill with holiday peanut M & M's before serving. Makes 10 to 12 nests or 18 to 20 smaller nests.

Quick recipe for some O'henry Bars and or as now called Becca Bars!

1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup peanuts
3 cups rice krispies
1 (6 oz) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (6 oz) pkg. butterscotch chips

Mix together the corn syrup and peanut butter in a large microwave-able bowl. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir. Add the peanuts. Cook one more minute. Stir. Add in rice krispies. Mix completely and pour into a greased 9 x 13. In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the chips with the chocolate on the bottom of the bowl until smooth and melty. Pour over the peanut and cereal mixture; spread evenly. Put into the fridge for 10 minutes to chill. Remove from fridge, cut into little squares and enjoy.

Thanks Becca!
