A Decade, A New Year, A New and Fresh Start for all of us in 2010!!

What a wonderful promise this verse is!
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things
have passed away; behold all things have become new."
~2 Corinthians 5:17~

2010 is a new decade, a new year, a new and fresh start that I hope will bring about a new us and a new me in many ways.

It is hard to believe that 10 years ago I was blessed with my millenium miracle and sweet baby girl Demi.  The time has passed so quickly and yet when I reflect on the time, it doesnt seem possible that ten years have passed by so fast.  Also when I look at pictures I am amazed at how much our lives have been filled with so much joy and laughter because of one child, mine!  I love her so much and thank God for giving me the responsibility of being her mom while she is here on earth.

In 2009, I really did not set any goals or resolutions but I am going to post my list of a few things I hope to accomplish in this new year for myself and with the girls.  I have never been a planner but really think that has our lives become busier that this will help us in our daily lives and with the months to come while Nadja is here from Germany.  I have decided that with children and schedules that it is necesaary.  Am I the only one who lives like this?

So last night Nadja and I went to my sister's Sheri's house to eat our new year meal together.  Our meal consisted of the American traditions of eating cabbage (money) and black eyed peas (God's Blessings and Plan) along with ham and mac and cheese.  I love bringing in the new year with family and must admit I am missing my lil dem dem whlle she brings in the new year with her best friend Kenzie.  I am hoping she enjoyed her day with them yestserday.

I am still deciding on my word for 2010  (www.aliedwards.typepad.com).  Some of the words I am tossing around are LOVE, FAITH, OPEN, DETERMINED, NEW - I would love to have a mission statement this year as well.  I guess that is the sales person in me.

My prayer and hope for you this new year 2010 is that you are encouraged you to live by faith.
Remember that the Word of God tells us that "faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of
things unseen". Take these words and memorize them and ponder them in your heart!

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
~
Hebrews 11:1~

Let's start this New Year fresh. If you do not know Jesus Christ
as your personal savior........ let me invite you to become a Christian.

It's as easy as ABC to give your heart to the Lord.
All you have to do is:

Admit you are a sinner. Romans 3:23
Believe Jesus died on the cross for you. Acts 16:31
Confess your sin to God and turn from it. Romans 10:9

If you are a Christian..........it is time for you to decide. Will you turn the
control of your life over to the Lord? Will you let Him guide and direct you?

I pray and hope that I will be faithful and trust in the Lord with all my heart everday.  I hope you decided to join me on this journey this year.  The best gift you can give yourself and those you love is ask the Lord Savior into your life.  Maybe you have done this before and fallen off.  Maybe you feel lost today and want to experience all that God has to offer.  God is LOVE and and one thing I know is that everyday is a gift.

God only promises us today. We don't know what is ahead of us. But God knows.
He doesn't always show us what is in store for us or even if we will have a tomorrow.
So we should live our lives as if each day is the last.  God knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us and to keep us from harm.  Jeremiah 29:11.

Happy New Year 2010 to you and your families,
Diana

A Balanced Lifestyle and National Underwear Day..

I know that You have created me with a purpose and plan. I know it is Your desire that I too have a life filled with joy, purpose and victory. Please help me today to fulfill the destiny You have planned for my life. I know that in order to do this, I must live a life obedient to Your Word, and a life of balance, with my priorities in the proper place and my heart focused on You.

Dear Lord, help me to attain that balance in all areas of my life. Examine my heart, and show me those places where I may be out of balance. Help me to focus on the things that are most important, and keep me from being distracted by the things that would steal my time and attention. Protect me from those things that try to keep me from reaching my goals and achieving the dreams that you have put in my heart.

And most of all, dear God, remind me daily that You have called me to be fruitful, not just busy. Give me the wisdom and strength to produce in abundance that which is most important and constructive in my life and the lives of those around me. Thank you for your constant presence and for helping me to grow and increase in every area of my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Principles for Living a Balanced Life
1. Make a list of the things where you spend most of your time and money.
Ask yourself; Why are you doing the things you are doing?
2. Identify your priorities.
Decide what things are most important to you. Set your schedule around those priorities. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by things that are less important. Stay Focused!
3. Make a commitment to your health.
Take time to rest and reenergize.
4. Focus on building relationships and making memories.
Give your family and friends the time they deserve.
5. Spend time with God every day.
Pray and read your Bible. If this is new for you, just start with 10-15 minutes each day.
6. Get involved with other believers.
Attend a Bible believing church in your area and support that church with your faithful attendance, tithing and service to others.

A Brief Checklist to Help You Achieve Balance in Your Life
Sometimes the hardest part of trying to change old habits is just getting started! So here's a worksheet you can download and use to help identify which areas of your life are in good shape and which may need some attention. Take time to prayerfully and thoughtfully fill in this worksheet, and then use this to make any adjustments needed to bring your life into balance. Use an extra sheet if you need more space.

ON a totally FUN note:

Did you know it was National Underwear Day? Me either but I am beginning to think this country has a national day for everything. Are you aware of other days like this? If so I wanna hear about them!

So Demi is off to NRH2O today with her age group from church school thanks so Ms Donna Judd picking her up today - woohoo and thank goodness for friends since I am without my ride today while it finally gets fixed. That in itself will be such a relief and long coming :-).

Now off to get a lot of work done...would love to find a candidate for both NY and CT and also an update on Clayton in NJ. I would also love to hear from my client in MN with his 2 openings. I am ready for some balance and that desire in my heart to get busy and what a great opportunity to make a positive change in the lives of our military personnel in finding a new career!!!

Make it a great Wednesday and remember to tell your family and friends that you love them. Find time for a RAK today too, making a difference in the world today one person at a time!

Coupons and money back cards....

So we are off to Albertsons and Target for some shopping with my 40.00. This is all the cash I have so it will be fun and interesting to see what I can get with that with my coupons and then we are off to The Justice for Girls so Demi can spend her birthday gift card. I found a card today for 15.00 off of 40.00 spent so that means 55.00 for her to spend. I just love a great bargain and this couponing and money back cards is certainly going to come in handy.

On top of the good news from the church today, I found out that back in May I got a refund for paying my bills on time for 12 months with Atmos. This could not have come at a better time and now I have a credit with them. So that will be one company I will not have to worry about for a few months.

So tonight I am determined to reset my business goals for the next 6 months to hopefully finish my year off on a good note and to establish myself with benefits and a savings along with the principles of 10, 10, 80. That is 10% tithing, 10% savings and 80% spending. I know I will get back on my feet soon and that the economy will turn around sooner than later for us optimists!!

Be back with a report on how well I did with my couponing and shopping!!
